and we’re back!

Written by Heath on March 13th, 2012

I know I’ve been MIA for a few months, but fret no more – we’ve been doing lots of great things and working with some awesome people – and I’m going to recap you on all of it!

after a PROUD and JOYOUS setup, we were detained for 3 hours by a drunk ZANU madman. I’ve never personally seen such violations of human rights, nor experienced such powerlessness in the face of ‘officials’.

That’s the final destination now – to build a number of structures to provide shade for people in public spaces in and around Harare!

HIFA

Written by Heath on April 25th, 2011

I’m in Harare for HIFA – the Harare International Festival of the Arts. I’m making a public work with 5 talented local craft designers. We’re going to use lots of waste plastic and other previously used materials. I’ll post pictures as we work… This is one inspiring city.

post night-walk soft-vandalism

Written by Heath on January 31st, 2011

I was inspired by my walk to give some public space a bit of attention.

I attached a paper napkin to the hand-rail outside the SIWA (the only local grocery/everything store in Fiskars). It was GONE in the morning.

I even said thank you very much on it, and I wrote the word art…
